PAINTER...

 

Tjaša Iris is an artist with a multicultural profile. Born in Slovenia. Educated in Italy, U.K. and the Netherlands. Lived and worked as well in Paris and California. She learnt 7 languages.

She earned her M.F.A. in Painting from Academie Minerva in Groningen, The Netherlands in 1995.

She is currently living summer time at Villa Flora, Branik in the Pre-Coastal Wine Country of Slovenia (Central Europe).

Lately she has been very much attracted by explosive energy of the South-East Asia. Followed by stays in Hong Kong, Singapore and Bali, Indonesia. Collaborations with Asian galleries as Instinc in Singapore,  Wina in Bali & 116 Art Gallery in Chiang Mai, Thailand. She exhibited as well as a “NEW FIND” at Art Singapore 2010 and extensively at AAF Singapore 2010.

She is a member of Slovenian Artist Association since 1996.

She had many exhibitions in different countries as in Italy, The Netherlands, Slovenia, USA, South Africa, Spain, France, Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Her works are in many private and public collections in The Netherlands, Slovenia, Italy, USA, South Africa, France, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Singapore.

" Nacque dalla Parola la Forma e mori di nuovo: l'onda si ritrasse di nuovo nel mare. La forma nacque dall'Informe e torno' all'Informe, che' "in verita' a Lui torneremo". Percio' e' in ogni momento una morte e una resurrezione, e giustamente disse il Profetta: "Il mondo e' un istante". Il nostro pensare e' una freccia lanciatta da Lui alta nell'aria: come potra' restare lassu'? Certo tornera' fino a Dio! Ad ogni attimo il mondo si rinnova, e noi siamo ignari del suo rinnovarsi, perche' troppo rapida corre, come la scintilla che tu fai girare rapidissima con la mano. Se abilmente fai girare una torcia, sembrera' un lungo continuo cerchio di fuocco: la dispiegata lunghezza del tempo non e' che la rapidita' dell'atto creatore di Dio, e' prodotto fenomenico della rapidita' del creare!"
